Hatchets are known for their portability, while axes are not. You can carry hatchets in a belt holster, allowing you to quickly access it whenever needed. Axes tend to be more cumbersome. Generally, axes are designed to remain at your campsite while hatchets can be taken with you wherever you go.  While exploring the outdoors you can use your hatchet to cut small branches, defend yourself; hammer tent stakes, and much more.  This hatchet is made from a forged iron steel that has a stone finish that not only looks cool but this finish actually protects the blade.  The wooden handle has been smoothed and stained with a lanyard hole at the end.  Towards the end you will also see where the handle has been ribbed for a firm grip.
